TCM Principal's Talk
The discussion between Mr. Teruhiko Komori, one of Japan's leading opera singers and the principal of Tokyo College of Music High School, who is promoting educational reform, and &Form's representative Mr. Maruyama reminded us that music and design have a lot in common in terms of both creativity and education.

Mr. Komori talked about how in German opera, all the players come to the front, but Mr. Maruyama said that the players must take a step back, that silence gives the whole performance a sense of dynamism, and that music exists in the spaces between the sounds and in the places where no sounds are being made. It was the same concept of visual communication.

In the area of education and design, we will continue to think about the concepts and perspectives that design can create so that design can be used effectively in a variety of fields.
