Hoshino Architects – Wordplay
Typography in Motion: Illustrating the Core Values of the Architecture Studio

Hoshino Architects, based in Tokyo, is involved in large-scale projects globally and also serves as the Japanese office for Hopkins Architects in London. “Our Dictionary” is a project undertaken by Hoshino Architects as part of our visual communication initiative. The project consists of Hoshino Architects introducing weekly architecture-related words, which artists are invited to interpret. We provide typography and motion graphic works based on the themes to launch each week’s series.
Unleashing the Project’s Concept of “Word Play” Through Our Visual Expression

Our project is centered around the concept of “Word Play”, where typography is employed to convey the inherent meanings of specific words. We designed graphics for the theme words for each week throughout the year and interpreted them in motion graphic form every four weeks.
