Ebisu Mitsukoshi Signage

This is a new signage program along with the interior renovation of a department store in Tokyo. The key concept was to create a sophisticated space which contrasts with the existing interior by generating a new image, while maintaining the good and old ambience cherished since its opening in 1994. To this end, the original copper sign frames were reused, resulting in a new design that echoes the pre-existing forms and lines typical of such frames. Creating an interior specific only to this branch, the entire signage system was designed to seamlessly connect past and present.
