100th Anniversary Global Campaign Of Terumo, A Japan’s Leading Medical Device Manufacturer

Terumo is the largest medical company in Japan, and is celebrating its 100th anniversary. We made the slogan, logo, and brand message. Terumo’s market share is increasing, not only in Japan but also overseas, so it is important for Terumo to encourage unity and motivate their workforce. Terumo’s aim is to convey the positive future outlook of the company to both employees and the public.
According to the chairman “I want the employees to act on their own, without feeling too content. We need to show the public that we are willing to constantly push ourselves”. We make Stride Ahead as the slogan.

“Stride” and “Ahead” were chosen and combined to emphasize the meaning of each word. Carefully considering Terumo’s 100-year history, corporate philosophy, current situation and intentions for the future allowed us to distill the brand message in simple words. The brand message is easy to understand not only for the employees inside the company but also for the public outside the company. We were conscious of creating something that would be memorable to whoever encounters it.
