WOOD YOU LIKE COMPANY
Producing the Visual Identity for a Historic Furniture Company

We revitalized the visual identity for Tokyo based furniture company, Wood You Like Company (WYLC).
Original Symbol Mark

Instead of a new design or merely updating the VI, we envisioned a design that captures the essence of Japanese house renovation, which preserves beams and incorporates them into the new design. Our design proposal highlights the grid pattern of the iconic “W” symbol, which has gained popularity over the past 40 years since the company's establishment in 1983.
Redesigned Symbol Mark

We have optimized the thickness of the lines and the width of the grid in the redesigned symbol mark by carefully adjusting the balance. This ensures clear visibility, whether it is used in print or digital media.
Symbol Mark and Logotype

The new brand identity creates a design that is rooted in the company’s history while embodying a modern fusion of universality and novelty.
Stationery, Merchandise, Signage, Poster and Website

The corporate color of WYLC furniture has been selected as PANTONE CoolGrey 4U gray, in order to provide a sense of transparency, allowing seamless integration into various lifestyle settings. The symbol mark and logotype have been thoughtfully designed to ensure functional versatility, enabling placement on both the front and back of a variety of designs.
